Dr. Patrick Nemechek, D.O. is an expert in autonomic medicine who treats the underlying physiological processes that make people sick — not just the symptoms.
"The failure of our brains sets into motion the failure of our bodies."

A new approach to medicine
I am Dr. Patrick Nemechek, D.O. I focus on the autonomic nervous system because modern disease is autonomic dysfunction. I do not rely on pills or surgeries to mask symptoms — I treat the underlying physiological processes that are making people sick.
I am a classically trained internal medicine doctor and an expert in the autonomic nervous system — where your brain becomes unable to control your cells, organs, bodily functions, and inflammation. Everyone has an opportunity for improved health or disease reversal with improved or restored autonomic function.
The autonomic nervous system
The autonomics are the main communications network between the brain and the heart, organs, digestive tract, lungs, immune system, and hormonal regulation. There are two main branches:
Sympathetic ("fight or flight")
When disrupted: fatigue, salt or sugar cravings, anxiety, heart palpitations, tingling or numbness, disrupted night vision, varicose veins, erectile dysfunction, stiff neck and shoulders, headaches, insomnia.
Parasympathetic ("rest and digest")
When disrupted: heartburn, constipation, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, sleep apnea, restless legs, morning nausea, night sweats, non-restorative sleep.

Conditions treated
Because the autonomics control our entire body, repairing them helps improve or reverse a wide array of symptoms, illnesses, and diseases — including conditions in children and adults alike.
Neurological recovery through autonomic repair and reduction of brain inflammation.
Improved focus and emotional regulation as autonomic balance is restored.
Inflammatory-driven neurological disorders that respond to autonomic treatment.
Post-viral autonomic disruption affecting energy, cognition, and cardiovascular function.
Often rooted in autonomic dysfunction affecting energy regulation and blood flow.
Autonomic imbalance is a primary driver of chronic headache syndromes.
Parasympathetic disruption affects the digestive system, mimicking acid disorders.
Emotional dysregulation tied to cellular damage in the autonomic system.
Direct autonomic nervous system disorders with wide-ranging systemic effects.
About Dr. Nemechek
I understand that the failure of our bodies begins as unrepaired injury or damage in our brains. Because I understand the way our cells, brains, and nervous system are supposed to function, I can work to restore the body to equilibrium — ending symptoms and maximizing health.
Stem cell regeneration, stimulating the body's natural defenses, and rebalancing the intestinal tract and nervous system can reverse many disease processes and put metabolic inflammation into remission.
As a classically trained internist, I am often able to quickly zero in on the cause of your symptoms through a simple question-and-answer session — a skill that is increasingly missing from modern medicine.
